University of Bologna among the partners of “DISH”, a new Sino-European research centre for food safety
The Italian University of Bologna, the Chinese Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Sweden University of Lund and the Danish Technical University in Copenhagen have set up a new collaboration: the new research centre for food safety called DISH - Global Center for Food Safety.
The centre was presented during the “Global Food Safety & Technology Forum” which was held at the beginning of June in Scandinavia to discuss food frauds, product authenticity, logistics and packaging, consumers’ trust, with particular attention to sustainable agricultural production.
The participation to the Global Center for Food Safety is for the University of Bologna not only an opportunity for scientific and cultural growth, but also the reason to develop new international and inter-sectorial projects, thanks to initiatives for mobility that will enrich the curricula of students and researchers of this university.
Food safety has been one of the most important research topics at Alma Mater University for years: being a member of the Agrifood National Technological Cluster, many of its researchers have been involved in regional, national and European projects, as well as international sectorial initiatives including Foodforce, MoniqA, Health Grain Forum, Effost, ISEKI.
