UniCredit Start Lab: the 2017 edition of the acceleration programmme for startups and SMEs is now open
Proposals are now being accepted for the 2017 edition of UniCredit Start Lab: the acceleration programme promoted by UniCredit, designed for startups and innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
The Programme offers a range of different support opportunities, including four cash grants of 10,000 euro each for the winning startups in the four categories: “Life Science”, “CleanTech”, “ICT/Web/Digital” and “Innovative Made in Italy and Services & Industrial”. The grants will be awarded to the startups that stand out in each category for innovation, market potential, overall team strength and business/financial prospects.
In addition, UniCredit Start Lab offers selected startups: the opportunity to meet potential investors during the Investor Day, to be held within 12 months from admission to the UniCredit Start Lab Programme 2017; the opportunity to participate in UniCredit’s annual Startup Academy, the managerial training programme for the best Startups and innovative SMEs, with days dedicated to the main aspects of creating, developing and managing a Startup.
Other prizes include: access to the Mentoring programme, with the assignment of a “mentor” selected from professionals or entrepreneurs from the UniCredit network, to supervise the business periodically and meet the business team at least four times per year; the assignment of a Relationship Manager to assist the startups with their banking requirements and offer support on UniCredit products and services designed to meet the needs of new businesses, according to the business plan submitted; and, finally, support for the development of industrial, technological, commercial and strategic partnerships, which will be provided by assisting startups and innovative SMEs in finding counterparties.
The UniCredit Start Lab website will give visibility to the Startups and SMEs selected in the context of the Programme.
Applications for the UniCredit Start Lab must be submitted by 2 May 2017. Participation is open to individuals and groups of people. The procedures for application submission and the terms of participation are specified in the Regulations, available on the programme website.
