National Award for Scientific Dissemination 2015: the Call
With the support of the National Research Council (CNR) and the Italian Association for Industrial Research (AIRI), Associazione Italiana del Libro (the Italian Book Association) has announced this year’s “National Award for Scientific Dissemination”. The competition is open to Italian teachers, researchers, journalists, and authors who published books and articles in 2014 and 2015. Deadline for submissions: 2 August 2015.
The award, now in its third edition, aims at affirming the centrality of scientific research and communication for the progress of society, enhancing the Italian capital of scientific knowledge, and broadening the dialogue between the world of research and University and society helping to create a widespread culture of innovation and knowledge, as well as fostering young people’s interest in science.
The areas of scientific interest are five: Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences (Area A), Life and Health Sciences (Area B), Engineering and Architectural Sciences (Area C), Human Science, Philosophy, History and Literature (Area D), and Legal, Economic and Social Sciences (Area E). The President of the scientific panel is Umberto Guidoni. The award ceremony will be held on 17 December, in Rome, in the Aula Convegni of CNR.
