International Space Apps Challenge: the space hackathon returns to 6 Italian cities
The International Space Apps Challenge, the largest international space hackathon promoted by NASA, will be held simultaneously in over 100 countries around the world on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 October 2018. In Italy, this space innovation initiative will take place in six cities: Rome, Turin, Milan, Naples, Vicenza and Trieste.
The hackathon is open to students, scientists, designers, artists, entrepreneurs and space enthusiasts. Participants will have 48 hours to propose innovative solutions addressing global challenges for living on Earth and in Space, using the huge amount of data made available by the American Space Agency.
The theme of the International Space Apps Challenge 2018 is Earth and Space. Participants are invited to develop innovative projects in six categories. The two winners of each local event will move on to the global challenge where the innovative ideas will be judged by NASA experts.
