Here are the winners of StartCup Lazio

The crowning of the winners ended the StartCup Lazio 2018, the business plan competition organized to promote the territory economic development within the National Award for Innovation.

The business ideas presented were challenged with pitches, until ten finalists were left to compete for victory in four categories: Life Sciences, Cleantech & Energy, Industrial and ICT.

The following first four classified will access the National Award for Innovation, promoted by PNICube, national network of university business incubators, which will be held on 29 and 30 November 2018 in Verona:

  • SPlastica – sustainable plastic – a project presented by the “Tor Vergata” University of Rome
  • Idroluppolo – hydroponic hops – a project presented by the “Tor Vergata” University of Rome
  • MSTMicrobalance Sensor Technologies Air Quality - a sensor with microbalance to discriminate compounds – a project by INAF and CNR
  • RECO 2 – recycling waste materials for green building – presented by the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio

Startcup Lazio 2018 is the annual competition for the best highly technological business projects, with an overall cash prize of more than 60,000 euro. This year, the wanna-be entrepreneurs who followed the Start Cup Lazio path to the final were 40.
