Health, agreement signed between the spin-off Synbiotec and Kos Care
Improving the health of patients through the use of probiotics and the development of personalized services is the objective of the agreement between Synbiotec, a spin-off of the University of Camerino, and the healthcare group KOS CARE.
The three-year collaboration involves conducting research and technology transfer activities. In particular, the agreement is aimed at the administration of probiotics studied and produced by Synbiotec and at the promotion of these products in pharmacies and health and beauty stores of the KOS Group.
A nutrition ‘app’ will also be developed to offer patients in KOS Group clinics a personalized support to their diet.
The company Synbiotec was founded in 2004, after getting approval from the Ministry of Education, University and Research, within the framework of the Legislative Decree 297/99 of MIUR which introduced some innovations in support of the creation of university spin-offs.
The spin-off of the University of Camerino aims to improve food quality and human health through natural ingredients and processes, providing probiotic bacterial strains with the highest quality standards.
“Our company, a leader in research and development for probiotics, has implemented a variety of research programmes to better understand the properties, mechanisms and effects of its probiotic line on human health: that is why this agreement represents an excellent growth opportunity for us in terms of research and for the promotion of our products”, commented Alberto Cresci, President of the spin off Synbiotec.
