Fulbright scholarships: 2019-2020 calls published
The Fulbright calls for the academic year 2019-2020 are published on the website of the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).
The Fulbright scholarships offer Italian citizens the opportunity to undertake post-graduate specialization, research and teaching programmes at universities and campuses in the US.
The scholarship Programme is managed by the US-Italy Fulbright Commission: a bi-national institution funded jointly by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Directorate General for the Countries of the Americas.
The call for Fulbright Self-Placed All Disciplines for Master’s and PhD programmes offers 6 grants to enable young Italian graduates to follow post-graduate specialization, Master’s and PhD programmes at US universities. The scholarships, covering a period of 9 months, are of up to $38,000. The deadline for applications is 11 December 2018.
The Fulbright-Research Scholar call offers a maximum of 8 scholarships of up to $12,000 for a period of 4 to 9 months to fund research programmes at US universities. The call is open to post-doc fellows, researchers, university professors and independent scholars in art-related fields. The aim is to support the implementation of research projects that benefit the international academic and scientific community. The deadline is 1 February 2019.
Finally, the Distinguished Lecturer and Scholar in residence calls offer grants to Italian citizens for teaching projects at the best US universities. Job descriptions and teaching areas will be available in October.
