The most advanced achievements of scientific and technological research in all areas of photonics will be presented and discussed, with a particular emphasis on applications.

Organized by the Italian Association of Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Information and Communication Technology (AEIT) and the AEIT Society For Information and Communications Technology (AICT), in collaboration with ENEA and Sapienza University of Rome, the event, of national importance, brings together for three days all those active in the field of optical telecommunications of sensors, energy, lighting and life sciences.

FOTONICA 2016 will be structured in technical sessions with original contributions relevant to the Conference themes, as well as seminars on the state of the art, the national and international initiatives and the development prospects of photonics.

The Sessions will cover the following themes:

  • Information and Communications
  • Security, metrology and sensors
  • Photovoltaics and energy saving
  • Lighting and display
  • Aerospace
  • Life Sciences and Health
  • Cultural Heritage and Environment
  • Fundamental research, models, techniques, materials and innovative components

The event will also host a Technical Exhibition, which will give manufacturers active in photonics the opportunity to present their companies, products and solutions, coming into contact with potential clients, and the opportunity to give a presentation in a dedicated Session.
