Falling Walls Lab in Florence
Just three minutes to present ideas and exchange views with other innovators and experts from all fields of knowledge: it is one of the preparatory events of Falling Walls Lab that will be held at the University of Florence on Thursday, 27 September 2018.
The international competition is open to PhD candidates and young researchers working on research projects, social initiatives or business models, offering them the opportunity to present their research work, business initiatives or models to a jury of experts, colleagues and the general public.
Some of the projects presented in Florence will be selected to take part in the final Falling Walls Lab Conference on 9 November in Berlin. The event is promoted as part of the initiatives organized by the University of Florence for European Researchers’ Night, which this year will take place on 28 September.
Falling Walls Lab is the interdisciplinary forum that offers hundreds of emerging talents, entrepreneurs and innovators a stage to present their research work. Participants are given just three minutes to present their ideas.
Falling Walls is the name of the Foundation established after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Every year, the Foundation organizes a Conference devoted to innovation in science and society. To date, innovators from more than 75 countries have taken part in the various editions.
