ENEA and CIRA: agreement on scientific and technological cooperation
Strengthening cooperation on scientific and technological research programmes of common interest in the energy, aerospace, environmental and climate sectors.
This is the objective of the framework agreement signed by the President of ENEA-National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, Federico Testa, and the President of CIRA-Italian Aerospace Research Centre, Paolo Annunziato.
The cooperation activities between ENEA and CIRA will concern bioregenerative life support systems, systems based on batteries, fuel cells and supercapacitors, solutions for hybrid-electric propulsion, materials and structures technology, innovations for the environment and climate.
The agreement will allow the coordinated development of research activities along with other initiatives including the joint participation in national and international scientific research projects and programmes and the organization of training and outreach activities through professional updating and qualification courses.
The three-year agreement will be managed by an ENEA-CIRA Joint Coordination Committee that will identify the activities of common interest covered by the specific conventions.
The activities will be carried out by joint working groups, to which both organizations will make available their equipment and facilities.
