EIT Health: two calls for proposals for innovative prototypes in the healthcare sector
Startups and companies operating in the healthcare sector have time until 30 April 2017 to apply for Innostars Awards 2017 and European Health Catapult 2017, the new calls launched by EIT Health, the important European initiative that aims to encourage the development and commercialization of products and services in the healthcare sector, with a budget of about 2 billion euro over the next decade.
The InnoStars Awards call is open to already established companies (or companies that will conclude registration by 15 June 2017) with a well-developed prototype ready to be launched on the market. Proposals should address one of the following challenges: promote healthy living; support active aging; improve healthcare. The first prize consists of a 50,000 euro grant, the second of a 20,000 euro grant and the third of a 10,000 euro grant.
The European Health Catapult call is open to companies active in the fields of biotech/medtech/digital health, wishing to explore new markets in Europe with a prototype that has already been tested and validated. EIT Health offers participants the opportunity to present their products to experts and investors, exploring new markets. The first prize is a 50,000 euro grant, the second a 35,000 euro grant and the third a 25,000 euro grant.
The calls are promoted in Italy by Consorzio Arca and Città della Scienza that are the RIS coordinators for the activities of EIT Health 2017.
