CNR: the competitions for the recruitment of 82 young excellent researchers
The National Research Council (CNR) has announced the new competitions for the recruitment, by the end of the year, of 82 young and excellent researchers. The criteria of the competitions were established by the Board of Directors of CNR in accordance with the decree of 26 February 2016 no.105 of the Minister of Education, University and Research, Stefania Giannini, which established the recruitment of young researchers in public research institutions.
The posts will cover the 24 scientific areas of the Council identified as strategic for both European and Italian research. “The first good thing”, said the President of CNR, Massimo Inguscio, “is just the wide range and variety of the areas that will be covered by these posts and which reflect, on the one hand, the multidisciplinarity of the Council and, on the other hand, the research areas of the European Research Council, ie the fields of research identified by Europe as strategic for our future”.
The thematic areas selected range from biomedicine to climate change, from green chemistry to agri-food, from genetics to information technology, from socio-cultural innovation to human brain, from the new materials to quantum technologies. “This variety is extremely important, in particular for CNR, which considers the combination of different competences as its main characteristic, and, more generally, because the great challenges of the future are played in fields that go beyond the fences in which for too long we have confined knowledge”, added Inguscio.
