Training Camp: innovative techniques for cultural heritage

The Training Camp – Innovative Techniques for Cultural Heritage: Knowledge and Characterization of Sites and Archaeological Finds will take place 13-22 September 2017 in Alghero (Sassari) at Porto Conte Ricerche. The initiative is a real Scientific School for advanced training in the cultural heritage sector, a collaboration of ENEA, INFN, CNR and the University of Sassari.

Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with technologies and methods related to the conservation of archaeological sites and finds and learn about possible problems and solutions through multidisciplinary contribution of highly specialized professionals from CNR, INFN, ENEA and UNISS.

The Training Camp, funded by Regione Sardegna, includes classes with practical demonstrations, seminars, visits to the archaeological site of Sant’Imbenia, and workshops for small groups in which participants will use the instruments made available by the University of Sassari and the other institutes and organizations involved.

There are 30 available places. Candidates must have a three-year degree and submit their applications by 16 July 2017.
