Mathematics for BioMedicine
When: 10/08/2018 - 10/11/2018
The European Society for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology (ESMTB), the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM), and the European Mathematical Society (EMS) have dedicated 2018 to Biomathematics.
The initiative aims to celebrate the importance and growing impact of applications of mathematics to biology and life sciences in recent years and to promote synergies between life sciences and mathematics in the years to come.
In this context, from 8 to 11 October 2018, the workshop Mathematics for BioMedicine will be held in Rome at Accademia dei Lincei and at the National Research Council.
During the event, half-day sessions will be devoted to the following topics: immunology, cardiovascular diseases, neurology and ageing-associated diseases, oncology, epidemiology, endocrinology, stem cells and tissue regeneration.
The workshop is organized with the support of Accademia dei Lincei, “F. Severi” National Institute for High Mathematics (INdAM), through the National Group for Mathematical Analysis, Probability and their Applications (GNAMPA) and the National Group of Mathematical Physics (GNFM), National Research Council (CNR), Polytechnic University of Turin, EMS and ESMTB.
