From March to May 2017, the Sapienza University in Rome will host the CyberChallenge.IT project aimed at discovering information talent of young Italian students and contribute to fill the gap of experts in this field.
The project is organized by the Research Centre of Cyber Intelligence and Information Security of the Sapienza University of Rome and promoted by the CINI National Cybersecurity Laboratory with participation of IBM Italia and Cisco Research as industrial partners.
CyberChallenge.IT is addressed to students aged 18 to 23 years, who will access the competition following a selection. Registrations are open from 5 December 2016 to 25 January 2017 and the selection test will be administered on 3 February 2017 at the Sapienza premises.
Applicants will be followed by experts from the university and companies operating in this field who will introduce the technical, scientific and ethical principles of cybersecurity with practical activities followed by a final competition, which will be the first step towards European competitions and a possible career in information security.
