2018 Italy-China Science, Technology and Innovation Week
Where: Milano, Roma, Cagliari Napoli
When: 12/04/2018 - 12/06/2018
The Italy-China Science, Technology and Innovation Week is back and will take place from 3 to 7 December 2018. This is the cooperation initiative between Italy and China aimed at setting up scientific, technological and productive partnerships in research and innovation.
Promoted in Italy by the Ministry of Education, University and Research-MIUR in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation-MAECI, the initiative is coordinated by Città della Scienza in Naples, with collaboration by the National Research Council-CNR, Confindustria, the National Technology Clusters and the Italian research centres.
The event, which this year falls on the 40th anniversary of the signature of the first intergovernmental agreement between the two countries, follows a format that has consolidated over the years. The week will host seminars, workshops and round tables on themes of relevance for both countries, as well as one-to-one meetings between Italian and Chinese universities, bodies and companies, and visits to Italian centres of excellence.
Over the years, the areas of action of these initiatives have ranged from activities of technological transfer to initiatives dedicated to startups; from digital manufacturing to training, and science popularization, as well as initiatives aimed at spreading the scientific heritage and culture of the two countries.
